$1000 compound interest by the time they’re 18 vs the the inflation rate… I’m not good at math but I’m sure that $1000 will be able to get them a McChicken by the time they’re 18
Edit: hey guys it was just a joke lol. I forgot how mean the internet was.😢 have a nice day and hoping for all of your financial successes ❤

  • @PaulSojka says:

And how is the government going to fund all this while the US is trillions in debt..??

    • @Omar-l7q3i says:

Shh don’t worry about it, that’s what the cows of the gulf are for

    • @translivesmatter99 says:

The $1000 per kid isn’t a gift. It’s an investment to help us generate more engineers and business starters in the future to generate more economic growth. Also, yes, our debt-to-GDP ratio is high but as long as our GDP is the biggest in the world, we’re in good shape.

    • @Ai4698 says:

It’s an investment, right now we have a population problem. That will be more devastating for the US than debt

    • @philidips says:

He’s expanding the deficit, that’s how.

    • @adamsaenzjr.8181 says:

Sovereign debt is not real debt

  • @jayhogan100 says:

They need to leave that 1000 in the account till the person retires and they get that instead of ss. Then do away with ss

  • @dolan5012 says:

Can I adopt and give it back?

  • @salt3764 says:

LoL. For 1k you get a baby that’s gonna cost you an arm and leg to raise. That is totally bad investment

  • @jasondude7566 says:

Yeah, in 18 years, the amount will be $1,018.34

  • @TheThan-sx8ve says:

Average yearly return rate is 9 percent?!

  • @drosky50 says:

    That’s it..?

  • @oskarvomhimmel6936 says:

🤔 I’ll give you $2000.00 if you rent my house for 85 years 😎…

A $1k for a lifetime tax payer 😮‍💨 Not worth it…make it $10 million…still a good investment for the Government, gets to spend the $$$ in the US, other Taxpayers, helps support the economy, gets an education, and becomes a high earning Tax Payer 🤓…65 years in the labor force (tax payer) or a Job Generating individual, multiplying the roi…a f’n $1k is only enough to pay for just a few days of having a baby…last stroller I bought for mine and a car seat, a decade ago, was $2k…😎

  • @Jonathan-p3d4x says:

Should be a small loan of $1 million 😂

  • @TheChristmasNinja12 says:

At 9% interest that would be less than $5,000 by the time they’re 18 and going to college. In other words, about ~1/10th of 1 year’s tuition at most schools.

    • @Rocky-1976 says:

the 1000$ could be used as a starting amount to later invest more monthly.

    • @Ai4698 says:

College prices are going to crumble if a bill gets passed. They’re finally trying to limit the amount a student can take out in student loans.

  • @Rocky-1976 says:

this could honestly help grow the US economy — they give $1,000, have parents invest it long-term, and if parents start adding their own money too, that’s even more going into US markets. later on, it gets used for things like college, homes, or starting businesses. actually, a smart idea.

    • @AmbrosiusNor says:

Yes but doest that also invite incompetnecy? With parents that only do it to get a thousand bucks?

    • @Ai4698 says:

@AmbrosiusNor lmao wait until you see your hospital bill when your kid is born. Not even counting check ups

  • @ethanpadgett6499 says:

Found out I’m gonna be a dad before the end of the year so I’m definitely gonna do this

  • @NathanielBandy says:

It’s an interesting idea but it’s not enough money for it to be worth much of anything

  • @stopthecap2644 says:

$1k will get you what? A months worth of diapers? 🙄🙄

  • @airplanetowardsthesky3265 says:

13k doesn’t even cover the hospital bill for the birth

  • @TwoBiteBrownies says:

    9% LMAOOOO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  • @jeanmi5045 says:

Is not about the amount but the idea to start early. You can keep contributing further.

  • @KneeKolouse says:

The comments are so shiet, Yes it is $1000… that you can ALSO put into for your child’s returns in the future.

  • @abhishekn7200 says:

You can’t take up college education with just 13000 now let alone 30 years from now. Maybe they could use that 13K for the coachella tickets 30 years from now.
