He Got Sued for $200K After Selling a House (Why Title Insurance Matters) #realestateinvesting

Title insurance sounds boring… until you get hit with a $200,000 lawsuit.

One of my apprentices bought a house for $150K, rehabbed it, sold it for $350K… and a year later got hit with a $200K lawsuit from a family member claiming the seller never had the right to sell. In this clip, I break down what happened, how the title insurer tried to dodge responsibility, and how the situation was ultimately resolved.

Yikes. I thought that was going to be a different story.

“If” he buys for $150k, first American is only on the hook for $150k? Or are they on the hook for the property value of $320k he sold it for?
