They should’ve encouraged you to join a tournament or pro team. He emphasized talent aswell, not strictly passion.
As a father I appreciate this being shared
I want to try being a stay at home video game and doritos eater. Want to encourage that too? You said whatever

Absolutely. I do this with my kids. Each is very different but I try to help them explore whatever it is they may be into. Fortunately I make enough money I can get them started in most anything art, music whatever. And even if it goes nowhere it will bring them joy and memories.
I agree with this but also hone in on skills that can be used to get a decent living. It’s good to have a backup.
Yes but no if you have enough money than yes but if they’re not putting in enough effort for their dream to become a reality then no always have a backup just in case
Taking my “theater kid” to Broadway to see The Outsider for the 5th and 6th times today for her 13th birthday. We agree with this sentiment almost too much 😂🎉
“I will always encourage whatever they want to pursue”. Watch those words bro. A lot of them are wanting OF careers these days.
God blessed me with parents that felt this exact same way. I can’t think of a single thing I truly ever wanted to pursue that they didn’t support me to do so. We weren’t rich but they always found a way.
Bit of a misleading caption I’d say
