Why not? 2009-2020 was a great time to buy a house. Especially compared to mid 2022 to the present.

They are always making a blanket statement. If it is in a good part of la I bet renting is more expensive and you don’t have to worry about values crashing like Vegas, AZ, and Texas as people leave there.
@@exclaim2820no it is mathematically cheaper to rent than buy as long as you invest the difference in an index. Most people won’t invest though😊

Well, for most of the people in the United States, this “good dilemma” is something that is so far out of reach that it is laughable to consider it a “problem” and is annoying to hear someone almost sound like they are whining whenever they have no real monetary problems. These aren’t problems, they are opportunities, which is something most of us don’t have.

People like him are the cause of houses going up in price. The people who buy and sell and the people who buy in another state and let any trash move in. Or they raise the rent $400 higher than what the actual mortgage is. These are the guys who are part of the people ruining affordable housing.
Private rentals have always been a for profit enterprise It is illogical to expect someone providing a good or a service in a marketplace to ask less than market price. Social housing was a gov. Responsibility. They abdicated that responsibility and were not punished for it at the ballot box. Blame your government for the lack of available, affordable rentals.
