I feel you, Graham. I have a microscopic channel compared to yours, but the same pain with the reach applies to small channels and big channels alike. That’s why some of us with good content are stuck and never grow.
Some people criticize the choice of entertaining content, the “clickbait title”, without knowing it’s not really a choice. Sometimes we’re forced to.
He made you watch this short by applying the same mechanics. Start off with an attention grabbing ‘negative’ connotation statement and you got reeled in and so will 1000s more
The issue with his 100$ in 20 minute trash is that you can’t easily do it. It requires like $$$$$ and set up to even start it or it isn’t actually something he does and he is just advertising it for another company.

He also insults people that clearly don’t understand what they are doing wrong (granted they should know better but). Help them with their problem, insulting them does nothing.
My only problem with his show is how he makes fun of women appearance. He doesn’t understand how much trauma and bullying most women faced as kids.
Like most things you say, Graham, this is extremely beneficial to keep in mind.
You’re absolutely right. People don’t wanna fix habits, most of them want to complain about their issues and find others to relate to
The thing about news though is most news organizations in the past lost money. It was expected. They valued to at least some degree the integrity of reporting over profitability. They figured that was worth something. Worth paying for. And I agree.
Where as with youtube. Youtube is entertainment platform. The expectation is to be entertained. Not informed. Certainly if you can do both thats great. But anyone going to you tube thinking they are supposed to be informed doesn’t understand what youtube is.
I don’t like the show. It’s basically just him mocking mentally disabled people for an hour while Caleb himself isn’t all that smart, attractive, or capable himself. He found a niche but I predict the algorithm will knock him down to a few 100k views per video within two years.
I can’t listen to his podcast. It’s just annoying. So overly loud. Screaming at the guest most of the time. Over reacting the other half of the time. There is no education in the episodes what so ever. Maybe at the beginning when he started there was. But then he was trying to just grow his channel and realised that this act gets him more views

That’s why the show wouldn’t work if he invited people on who weren’t struggling financially or in debt to assess their financial score.
The problem I have with that show. He doesn’t seem to help anybody. Yelling and degrading them isn’t helpful. I’m all for tough love. Sometimes some people need to be told what they’re doing is stupid and they’re an idiot. But fucking lighten up a little bit, man.
